Freshly Made Mothers Day Sketch

Hey there, I had a class last week which I was prepping for with the Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack, which I wanted to use to create a feminine card. So with Mother's Day coming up in the UK this week I thought I would challenge myself & I came across this great sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches : I thought that the map paper within the stack would be perfect as Mum's really do mean the world. So I paired it with the summer silhouettes stamp set to create the feminine look, here is what I made: Here is a close up of the flower scene, I also mounted the back of this with some of the black designer series paper stack & some whisper white organza ribbon just to give it that added feminine touch: I really like this sketch & think I'm going to create some more, a great way to use up all of that designer series paper too!! Thanks for visiting, see you soon, x Jessie B x

Flowering fields

Hi all! Just popping by with a card I've created for the great colour challenge over at  Hand Stamped Sentiments So, pink is not really a colour I like to use much, but I was up for the challenge!! This is what I created:  I wanted the rose red flowers to pop a bit so I used an aquapainter to colour them in & then I used a bit of the clear wink of stella to just give them a bit of sparkle. Tip: I punched two decorate label punch pieces to create my backing for the sentiment. I just snipped a little of the end off & adhered it together.  See you soon,  X Jessie B X

Botanical Thanks

I thought I would take part in the last ever SU-per challenge. I thought I would share my most recent creation using the fabulous botanical framelits! All I can say is I love this set & I need to really play with it I've been quite busy & not had a chance until now. Here is what I created: Here is close up with those flowers & you can see the vellum leaf: I went for a neutral colour theme & just cut the flowers out with the big shot & then assembled. I even added a bit of vellum & washi tape just to give a little texture & layer. I've only recently come across this challenge blog & I wish I had come across it sooner. I would like to wish the team that have been involved with it all the best for the future. See you all soon, x Jessie x Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog
